U.S. President Joe Biden’s granddaughter, 28-year-old Naomi, married 25-year-old Peter Neal.
The wedding took place at the White House. The bride walked down the aisle in a Ralph Lauren Chantilly lace dress to the song Bitter Sweet Symphony by the British band The Verve. She was accompanied by her parents, Hunter Biden and Kathleen Boulet. The lovers exchanged their vows of fidelity on the South Lawn, surrounded by about 250 guests.
The event was expensive. According to CNN, it was organized by a firm whose price tag starts at $300,000.
Naomi is the eldest granddaughter of a sitting U.S. president. She was named after her late aunt, Biden’s daughter from his first marriage, who died in a car accident in 1972. The girl graduated from law school in Pennsylvania. It was there that she met Peter, who now works at Georgetown University Law Center on national security issues.
This is the nineteenth wedding to be held within the walls of the presidential residence. The last time Barack Obama’s personal photographer Pete Souza and his lover Patti Liz were married at the White House, it was in 2013.
It is noteworthy that the celebration took place on the eve of the U.S. leader’s birthday, who turned 80 on November 20 – he will become the first president in U.S. history to turn the age of nine. Some Internet users believe that Naomi’s wedding coincided with Joe Biden’s anniversary for a reason – allegedly he wanted to distract attention from his age.
Recently celebrated the wedding of another American politician’s family. Former U.S. President Donald Trump’s youngest daughter Tiffany (she was Naomi’s classmate) married Lebanese-American entrepreneur Michael Boulos.
