Today’s youth are very different from the generation a few years older than them. Today’s young people are not interested in luxury but in peace. They are able to dream and make their dreams come true. Vancouver natives Jamie and David moved to a Kalama, Washington condominium. They had three grown children. When they moved out, they lived there like everyone else. They kept working to pay their mortgages. It prevented them from feeling completely free. In 2017, they found the strength to carry out a great mission.
They were going to build a DIY house. They began to acquire used or already discarded containers. If the project was successful, they would be debt free and have something to be proud of. According to the design, it was 40 containers on top of which 20 shipping containers were placed, which allowed you to create an outdoor balcony with an electric fence. David had some issues that had just surfaced.. They achieved their dream at any cost. The house was almost completely finished from the outside, and the interior work took very little time.
The furnishing work was also wonderful. The house had a living room and kitchen, two bedrooms and a bathroom. Everything was carefully arranged, there was a very wonderful atmosphere in the house. David and Jamie needed just such a break. The problems that arose throughout the process became solvable for them, they were sure that they would be able to complete the project and, as we mentioned at the beginning, they would be able to be proud. They got rid of their bills, moved into a new house and started living their dreams. And all other questions and problems remained
away. How little a person needs to live calmly and peacefully. All this couple needed was a small, simple cabin to be happy. Their dream home was ideal for them and inspirering for many of us. Bringing similar houses to life was a big task and feasible.
